One of females has a slightly injured beak during the day. Thanks to reading many posts, I know how to treat it.
Can aggressive drakes cause this type of damage with their beaks or claws when piled on a female? There are 3 wild mallards who keep getting at my females. My two drakes (both Swedish Blues) do a great job at keeping them at bay, but sometimes the flying mallards are able to sneak in from behind.
Rarely do we will have a loose dog in the area and the damage doesn't look severe enough to be from canine teeth to me.
