Can ducklings learn to fly by themselves?

I was wondering if ducklings can learn to fly on their own. I have two ducks butter and oreo they are 5 months old i think, im wondering when they will try to fly or start flying.

From your pictures they are Pekin and as Miss Lydia said they don't really fly. However, to answer your questions duck breeds who have the capability of flight will leave to fly without any instruction from an older duck.
 
It's mainly your ducks breed that keeps them from flying. But if they had a real reason to (something chasing them/spooked) they might catch a little air under their wings and it would be a kind of horizontal ntal type of flying that would be brief. Birds don't generally need much parental guidance to figure out their wings. I've raised parakeets and small parrots from the time they hatched and they start flying on there own before they are even able to eat by themselves.
