can i let my meat turkeys free range

can I let my meat turkey free range.or will they be stringing when I butcher them? Thanks

This is my first year with turkeys so I'm probably not the person to ask. But I've read on BYC about how people free range their turkeys and brine them before cooking and they turn out great. Even as free rangers my turkeys don't go very far.

I've never had an issue with free range turkeys being tender. I've only had issues with them ranging off the property and not coming back or being eaten by a predator.
