Hello everyone, I hope you are having a nice day. My 7 week old rooster is getting pretty loud and i would like to put him outside if possible. However, I want him to be comfortable outside, and not freeze. It does not get below 45 degrees here, but he would also have no heating lamp in his coop. So would it be a good idea for me to put him outside, or should i wait? If i should wait, how long?? Thanks!

Sounds like a good time to have him living outside. Does he have chicken friends to snuggle with if he wants to be a little warmer?

Are the other 7 still inside too? They could certainly all go out now. I put mine out last year when they were 5.5 weeks old and our temps were in the 20s with snow. I put a heat lamp out there for them but they didn't use it and on the third morning I just took it out.
And welcome to BYC!

You are right, it is time for them to go outside (they are starting to stink up the entire house). Thank you so much for your input! Have a wonderful day!
