Can someone help me identify this chicken? Sex/breed

Help!! I'm told this is a roo. I can't tell, also I don't know the breed.

he is a cockerel - very likely a crossbred of some sort.

Definitely a roo... You should be able to see pointed hackle and saddle feathers (back of the neck and base of the tail) and his comb is getting pretty red. Also you can sometimes tell by how they hold themselves or the angle of their backs.

Thank you. He was a mystery bird given to me by a friend who didn't want another roo. Any idea what the breed is?

He looks like a mottled java I had once.

he's mixed enough no specific breed stands out from these pics. We'll need closer pics showing his coloring and comb if you want us to try to narrow things down more.

He sorta looks game-y but he could have any amount of breeds mixed into him. Kinda looks like maybe some SLW in there somewhere... And the combs really weird, almost a single comb with a little bit of peacomb shape. He'll probably grow up to be very pretty though!
