Can you see the red ring of death?

I only just learned about the red ring of death and found one egg that had died. Is it possible to see the ring forming even though the embryo is still moving? I've noticed in a couple eggs some darker veins but still some movement. Could that mean bad news?

There will be both larger veins and waste in the egg as it continues to develop. If the ring of death develops, you will not see additional veins. If you see healthy looking veins and movement along with a couple of larger, darker veins that seen worrisome, you’re just fine.
