You've come to the right place! I started last spring w 7 laying hens. I now have 9 + 1 rooster, 3 silkie mix, & 2 turkeys. I would have more but cant find anyone near me w/ pullets so looks like Ill have to pout until spring (hubbie just finally agreed to let me get more cant keep up w friend & neighbor egg demand). Enjoy your babies!
 
The saga continues. I went back to then local feed store where I bought 7 hens and and accidental young too two weeks a ago. I brought home two more Ameracaunas, and one Wellsummer pullets. They are enough that they should start laying in the next few weeks. I also picked up two Black Copper Marans from a local breeder. She also had some nice Lavender Amercaunas, and black as well but she wasn't willing to part with those (yet),

I told her I'd check back with her in the Spring.
