Caught The Thief! Don't Mess With My Orpington!

It tastes like ...coon. lol It is dark meat and you have to be careful not to dry it out when cooking it. Really good on the grill if you can get it cooked without getting it dry. You could put it in the crock pot and sprinkle an onion soup mix packet over it or slather it in bbq sauce.
 
I know my ancestors and a whole lot of other people's ancestors survived on wild game before the day of the grocery store meat department. That wasn't that long ago. It is a lot safer for you than the processed mess we eat today.
 
My hens nesting boxes are open all the time. Its not connected to the coop so It's easy to get in, but I didn't realize he would come out in the morning too and try and get them.
 
How does coon taste in a stew? I'm a crock pot kind of cooker.
