Cauliflower looking wart on top of ducks foot

Hemangiomas are strawberry marks or birthmarks on the skin in animals and humans. I can’t find any information on chickens with them, but in ducks they can be common, and may be a premalignant lesion. Since it hasn’t really changed in 6 months, just occasionally bleeds, I would just put a little disinfectant on it when needed.

If, after 6 months, it hasn't healed and on occasion bleeds....

I would be super tempted to see how much it would cost to take her to a vet and get it cut out.

I wouldn't want to cut it out myself because I would guess it has an impressive blood supply and needs a vet with quality cauterizing tools.

That’s great advice, thanks so much. That is really close to what it looks like. A little raised cauliflower growth like you sometimes see in a red color on peoples bodies

Please tell me what happened next and how is your duck? I have the same thing on a duck here

I’m not sure how to treat it but so far I’ve twice soaked it in epsom then sprayed with anti microbial then a blob of neosporin without the pain relief then a gauze pad and vet wrap . But today I did all those steps and also added PRID to the guaze pad , trying to treat it like bumblefoot. But I don’t know if I should really use the PRID

Hi eggcessive I just replied asking the OP what happened because I don’t know if I’m treating my duck correctly , she has the same thing , and I used PRID today on her , concerned now maybe I should not have ?
