Most people with chickens and ducks just eat the fertilized eggs. I guess it's a personal preference, and when I was first thinking of getting ducks I didn't want a male because the thought of eating fertilized eggs creeped me out. But then one of my females turned out to be a male, and by then I thought, "You know what? I guess I really don't care. I'm eating the eggs anyway." I only have one male and one female, and they are best friends. They enjoy mating and my female doesn't seem harassed at all. And if I ever want ducklings in the future, I have an easy way to get some!
