This winter I keeping a few chickens in a warm coop. With this help get the hens broody or am I wasting my time till spring? Should I go ahead and buy a incubator?

Brooding is brought on by hormones. Those hormones are directly tied to daylight exposure. It has nothing to do with temperature. In most climates, even cold ones, coops do not need heat. They do need lots of ventilation though.
A broody hen in winter is a very rare thing. Most hens that are prone to brooding, do so in the spring and summer.
