This is Elvis, to be re-named Elvira is she's a girl (which I think she is). A friend of mine gave me a few fertilized eggs to give my broody, and here's one of the chicks at 7 wks. We have no idea what her lineage is, but I just had to show her off because I think she is hilarious!

My friend and I have done some speculating, and our best guess is that it is a combo between her black sex link hen and her red crested red polish roo.

Never the less the differant feathers are so pretty the way it necklesses the birds colar. My 10 week Black Star has on both wings 1" of blue tips on the feathers with the red colar around her neck. They get even more metallic I heard as they mature. Good Luck
