Trying to incorporate more nutritious snacks into my hens diet. I’ve read that chia seeds are extremely good for them, and that soaked chia seeds are easier to digest. My question to anyone that gives your chickens chia seeds, how much do I give per hen? Thanks!

Chia seeds are fantastic for chickens. :) Fiber, Omega 3's, and lots of bioavailable nutrients. Honestly, I don't personally consider anything that has nutrients to add back into the diet for the ones it dilutes to be a treat, but all is their own.
With that in mind, for dogs, I know its 1/4tsp per 10lbs of body weight. Since you feed such a small amount, about a 1/4 tsp per bird, I would mix it into something else. Maybe soak some feed and add the chia seeds into it. Chickens typically love soaked feed, the chia seeds would be a nice touch. :)
