Chick behavior question

I have a 3 week old chick that is opening her mouth wide like shes trying to talk, but nothing comes out. Seems to be eating fine and is active, but repeatedly opens beak wide. Is this normal or is something wrong?

What are you feeding? Anything other than chick feed requires grit to digest. If the chick was eating grass, it may be having a bit of problem swallowing. I had a D'Uccle that did that a lot when growing up, always after eating grass.

I would say not normal... but chickens do burp.

I tried to record 1 but it didnt record she isnt doing it now, but it was so strange...
I added some chic grit...

I still have them all in the house in a brooder. The thermometer said 75 and of the 18 only 1 did it.

Don't worry too much over little things..It's the big things that need concern. Just enjoy the Birds...

I did add dirt in a bowl that I put through a kitchen strainer yesterday, that I noticed they ate instead of bathing in it. I added it because they kept bathing in the shavings
As far as food, chick starter in their feeder and some plain yogurt once a day off my finger.

Mine do that when they're getting ready to sleep, or just waking up. I figured it was yawning.
