Do you have a little syringe or dropper that you could use to apply a drop at a time to the wounds? You could wrap the chick in a small wash cloth or towel to make sure it’s warm and dry and gently held still. If you can’t do a drop or two at a time I guess a cotton ball with saline solution on it would be better than nothing. You can try to tip the head up gently with a finger so the solution runs away from the nostrils of you’d like. How do I keep the rest of the chick dry while rinsing the wounds and avoid filling its nose with saline? I assume blow drying it on low would be bad for the wounds as well so I want to avoid wetting it if I can. Would dabbing with a cotton ball saturated in saline be sufficient? And no pain reliever in the ointment, it's just the plain antibiotic.
