Yesterday I got two baby chicks to add to our flock. One is thriving and the other was laying in the middle of the cage alone. I took her out and she's inside with me (and my baby duck) now. First question.. is she okay to leave with my duckling, Daisy? Daisy is only two days old and she's healthy and energetic. The chick, Pepper, is I'm guessing a little older because she has a couple tiny feathers. She's wobbly, if she sits she leans all the way back on her butt. When she lays down she falls flat on her face. I don't know what to do.

I'm not sure if you can see as good in this but this is how she lays. With her face flat down in the bedding

Just had one with these symptoms die this morning :( cried my eyes out and had to stay home from school. Check her crop and see if it is mushy or too firm. She may have sour crop.
