chick with a hip out of socket/broken. please help

Please help, I have a chick that is only a month old but it has recently broken or dislocated its hip. It is still eating and drinking but is in a lot of pain. I tried to put a sling on it but it keeps stretching out of it kind of like doing the scissor splits. will it heal itself? I don't work therefore no $ for a vet, but I'm great with animals if I knew what to do. Any ideas?
