Chick with no vent?

Hi y'all! I'm posting for a friend who just hatched out some chicks last week. She texted me asking about this one chick in particular that doesn't seem to have a vent... there is a small hole above where the vent typically is and that's how the chick poops and all. Problem is, the hole seems to be closing up.

The chick apperently is acting completely normal, so we're just wondering if there's anything we can do?
Open to most suggestions. Culling would be the absolute last ditch option. Thank you!

Can you take a QTip with some Vaseline or oil on it and insert it just into the opening where it is pooping? Chicks are born often with no vent or even 2 vents. There are all kinds of birth defects. The ones with 2 vents usually live normal lives and lay eggs. The ones with no vent will die. Can you look for another opening on the other side?
