Chicken Bites!

When the chicks get big enough slowly introduce them to him. I am sure other chickens will help his lonely disposition. As for pecking, that is the way a chicken finds out what it is they are pecking at. It's their way of feeling, tasting ect. And even his way of being a brute at times no doubt. He probably is injured bad if he is not attempting to roost as 6 inches. Take your time with him. A close inspection can determine if he has anything annoying him like mites or worms ect. I am not suggesting he has these but it's good to rule them out.

Love leghorns.

I have not tried picking him up to see if he has mites or anything. His feathers are very clean and I don't see any mites in his house. He is healthy other than the meaness and not roosting
