Chicken leaks out of bum

So a few months ago one of our rescue chickens got your typical diarrhoea. All of her other behaviours were normal - laying eggs fine, eating, drinking, socialising etc. - so we had hoped it would sort itself out. We did try a few antibiotics at the beginning I think, but they didn't seem to help. We just sort of hoped it would sort itself out. Skip forward to now and she basically just poops straight water. Even worse, when she preens or gets ready to lay an egg, she leaks water out of her vent too. Again, all of her behaviours are totally normal otherwise, but I am concerned that she is going to suffer particularly as it is summer. Does anyone know why this might be happening or what antibiotics we could give her to help? We aren't really in a position to take her to the vet at the moment so any help would be appreciated.

Is it hot there? Are your chickens drinking a lot of water? Are they fed large amounts of protein? Are you feeding any mineral supplements? All of these can cause watery poop.

I am assuming since you are asking only about her that your other chickens are not having the same symptoms. Hot temperatures and drinking a lot of water can cause watery poop.

I would give probiotics daily for a while and see if that helps clear it up - and electrolytes since it’s summer and like you, I’d be concerned about her getting depleted.

it is hot and they are drinking a lot, but it is only her that is excreting like this. We don't feed them many extra supplements but I'll look into it.
