chickens and ducks

Hi I'm so happy I found you guys so I won 2dz fertile duck eggs in a homesteading raffle. I always wanted chickens and ducks so I'am excited. I made my own incubator and its been a struggle regulating the temperature and humidity this is day 5 I have 10 eggs total I think it's 5 each duck and chicken eggs I'm worried about the lock down time with them being 7 days apart for hatching I'm thinking of just going to buy one since the one I made is so difficult to regulate any advise would be great although I enjoyed making mine

Welcome to Backyard chickens, sorry but, I've never incubated any chickens or ducks. If you go to the "Raising Backyard Chickens " forum you will find side tabs for incubation and hatching, and so on. For ducks go to
Other Backyard Poultry," and post on the ducks threads. You'll learn more from them than anything I could tell you.
