Chickens suddenly eating more... like A LOT more.

dry beans are definitely bad for chickens as they contain hemaglutin, which is toxic to birds. fortunately it is broken down when either the beans are cooked or they start to sprout. I frequently get "hand me down" baked beans from my parents (my dad always makes more than he and my mom can eat) and I always end up giving the chickens the top layer that has dried out. my birds love baked beans, lol
 
I rinsed the beans good too, to cut down on sodium!

I think you guys were right though, because just a few days after I posted this I started getting my first eggs!
