Nothing has changed, but all of a sudden one of my small chicks, 4 weeks old, has started having bloody poop. Any suggestions on what I should do for them? They have been eating non-medicated chick start. Should I go buy the medicated? Should I purchase something extra? Help!

They might have coccidiosis. You will need to treat them with Corid 9.6% liquid solution. The dosage is 9.5cc to a gallon of water for five days. You do need to make a fresh batch every day, and keep him/her away from all the other chickens.

Here is an article I wrote on it if you have any other questions.

Chickens do shed intestinal lining
Here is the chicken poop chart.

Thank you so much. Should I treat all the chicks in the brooder?
