my hen hatch 2 chicks today they both died.

If she is a new mother, she could have accidentally crushed or smothered them. Are there any signs of injury? If there aren't, I'd let her try again. sometimes chicks just die, it could be from a lot of things. Keep an eye on your flock, it could be the start of an illness that is not obvious in the adults yet. What kind of nesting material were you using, and was she in a nest box, on the ground, or where? Also, if she was setting on a lot of eggs, sometimes the chicks don't hatch well or they are too weak to thrive. And of course, outside temperatures can be a factor too. If it's cold though, the mother will keep them warm. We just had a new mother incubate and hatch 7 chicks in the middle of an incredibly bitter cold spell. And she raised them all successfully, too, with some help from us. I think letting the broody hatch and raise her babies is always the best way to do it.

It's always sad when the chickies die, so sorry for your loss.
