Tomatillo are of the Nightshade family.

Nightshade family also includes tomatoes, potatoes, egg plant and peppers. Makes it hard to keep the tomatillos away, but I heard they make the tomatoes taste gross if they cross pollinate

I know we planted the peppers too close this year, cause I had 2 kinds touching and got some goofy ones where they met
