Chose a Halloween chicken monster egg - Hatch-Along

My sapphire splash laid some massive double yolkers- 76g was the biggest - when she was first laying. I'm curious if an egg that large could successfully support twins, both yolks were a decent size when I cracked it.

Its rare that twins hatch, there just isn't enough room for 2 babies in one egg, but occasionally someone will get a double to hatch!

I still have all of my Halloween chicks. I was so glad, because I liked Greenly's egg color, and I could not remember what batch she was from, since she is a keeper. Her mother was an olive egger from Meyers.

I still have mine as well. Bothe the Halloween hatch and the Thanksgiving one. They are in a growout pen / bantam pen. The cochin rooster I kept has been a great nanny.
