Let's have some fun!
Rewrite your favorite Christmas Carols with a BYC Flair!

Keep it clean
Tell us the song we are supposed to sing the verses to.
HAVE FUN!

This is one of mine, sung to The Carol of the Bells

I laid an egg
Look at my Egg
Get over here
Come see my egg

I laid it here
Bring me a treat
I get a treat
Get off your rear.

Ba-gawk, Ba-gawk
That is my song
An hour long
I laid an egg

Cannot you hear
My eggy cheer
From in the coop
Right by the poop

Oh how we lay,
right in the hay,
pushing it out,
without a doubt,

Gaily we sing
announcing
Egg laying here,
With so much cheer,

Merry, merry, merry, merry Egg-ness,
Merry, merry, merry, merry Egg-ness,
And on we say ,
Day after day,
Our joyful noise
to everyone
Bawk Honk Quack Bawk Honk Quack

OK I am not as creative as you but I did this today. I write for fun and thought this would be a FUN project. YAY!

Cheers-

Pedro~:-V

O Christmas Peep! (Sung to O Christmas Tree)

O Christmas Peep! O Christmas Peep!
Thy chirps are so un-nerving;
O Christmas Peep! O Christmas Peep!
Thy chirps are so un-nerving;
I can't wait until summer's here,
But since it's cold I'll hold you near.
O Christmas Peep! O Christmas Peep!
Thy chirps are so un-nerving!

O Christmas Peep! O Christmas Peep!
Such pressure you do give me;
O Christmas Peep! O Christmas Peep!
Such pressure you do give me;
Please quiet down my Christmas Peep
Afford me some much needed sleep!
O Christmas Peep! O Christmas Peep!
Such pressure you do give me.

O Christmas Peep! O Christmas Peep!
Why can't you wake me quietly!
O Christmas Peep! O Christmas Peep!
Why can't you wake me quietly!
I tell myself It's cold outside,
So I must keep you warm inside.
O Christmas Peep! O Christmas Peep!
Why can't you wake me quietly!

O Christmas Peep! O Christmas Peep!
How fondly you'll provide for me!
O Christmas Peep! O Christmas Peep!
How fondly you'll provide for me!
I tell myself, 4 weeks to wait,
To get some eggs or meat so great.
O Christmas Peep! O Christmas Peep!
How fondly you'll provide for me!"

"Biddy The Eggless Chicken"(sung to the tune of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer")

Biddy the eggless chicken
Bore the brunt of henhouse jokes.
hit.gif

Pushing and straining didn't
Even help to pass a yolk!
sad.png

All of the other chickens
Used to laugh and point in jest.

They never let poor Biddy
Into any laying nest!

Then one snowy Christmas Eve
What a great surprize!!!
wee.gif

She jumped into a nesting box
*POP* An egg of JUMBO SIZE!!!
ep.gif

Then how the chickens loved her
As they danced and sang with glee,
yippiechickie.gif

"Your egg on Christmas morning
Will feed the whole Farm Family!!!"

I bet if you look at a song for a few minutes...you can come up with some interesting lyrics! I don't write poetry, songs or any other major writing stuff...just journal and talk a lot. I have the gift of gab! LOL! I bet you can come with something clever...I double DOG dare you!!!

COME ON, YOU CAN DO IT! <ahem!> OK...I'll lay off the pressure a bit.

PS I think we should save these and make some kind of BYC Christmas Carol book...what you think? I, for one, will be singing these songs to THESE lyrics instead of the traditional ones. LOL! I can't wait to see the faces of my friends when they hear them! Whatta hoot!

Here's "Oi! To the Hens", sung to "Oi! To the World" by the Vandals
lol.png

Hotwing was a roo just like any other roo
And he never had no toubles 'til he started his roo dance
Safe in the coop or dancing at the tree
But Hotwing went too far when he roo danced at the "pub"

'Twas a cold Christmas Eve when Kip and the hens
Popped in for a pint and to eat a bag of scratch
The girls liked the dance but Kip did not
He flapped at Hotwing and he knocked him to his knees

If God came down on Christmas Day
I know exactly what he'd say
He'd say "Oi to our Kip, and Oi to Hotwing-
But Oi to the Hens and everybody wins!"

Hotwing was a mess and he ran through the crowd
He said "We'll meet again, I am embarrassed yet unbound!"
Kip called his bluff and told him where to meet
Christmas Day on roof of the coop inside the run!

If God came down on Christmas Day
I know exactly what he'd say
He'd say "Oi to our Kip, and Oi to Hotwing-
But Oi to the Hens and everybody wins!"

On the roof with the talons Kip broke a lot of skin
But Hotwing had talons like the swords of a King

Carri and Ken a wailing, Hens a sqwackin'
Then Hotwing saw the North Star shining more than ever
Kip was fading and full of hate
But Hotwing kept Kip warm until the "humans" could save him

When Kip came back to the coop many moons later
They went back to the pub and bought each other burbon!

If God came down on Christmas Day
I know exactly what he'd say
He'd say "Oi to our Kip, and Oi to Hotwing-
But Oi to the Hens and everybody wins!"

PS. The Vandals are an old school punk rock band from Orange County, so I doubt any of you know this song!

Jingle Ducks

The rain is coming down
The mud is coming up
Broose is getting all upset
Cuz Mobert goes Bup-bup!

Oh, Jingle Bells
The Coop Smells
Time to rake some hay.
Broody duck is on a nest
Now shooing her away!

A day or two ago
I thought I'd spend some time
Playing with the ducks
in the mud and slime

I slipped on some wet poop
and fell right on my a**
The ducks thought it was a hoot
and quacked to shatter glass

Oh, Jingle Bells
The Coop Smells
Time to rake some hay.
Broody duck is on a nest
Now shooing her away!

Now it's Christmas Eve
The ducks are looking round
At the stars all twink-el-ing
Watching Santa make his round

I go and take some treats
And hand to them each one
Thanking God for having them
knowing ducky love is FUN!!!!

Oh Jingle Bells
The Coop Smells
Time to rake some hay.
Broody duck is on a nest
Now shooing her away!

"Deck the Coops"

Deck the coops with pine and straw
Falalalalalalalala
Tis the season cold and raw
Falalalalalalalala
Don we now our warmest jacket
Falalalalalalalala
Chilly hens do make a racket
Falalalalalalalala

OK, now i am just getting goofy!

(No title...I dare you to come up with one!)

Sung to the music of "Jingle Bell Rock"

Easter Egg, Dominique, it's a Barred Rock.
Cornish Cross peeps and Red Stars galore
Pecking and Scratcing up buckets of dirt.
How they mingle in that stuff!

Welsummers, Wynadottes, Yokohamas.
Buff Brahmas join in Jungle Fowl spas.
Sunning and Laying in burrows, no cares.
Oh what funny girls!

Leghorns, Frizzles, Delawares too
In nest box's they do lay.
Rosecomb bantams and some Silkies
Go a-chasing-down a cricket or two!
Buttercup, Fayoumi, Rhode Island Red
Chickens surround the farm!
Mix in the showgirls with a turken or two.
What a great flock of,
What a great flock of,
What a great flock of fun.
