If you're willing to get any breed, I'd go on craigslist and look for someone near you who is selling "fresh eggs." Write to them and ask them if they have roosters. If they do, pick up a dozen and there you go!

I did this about 2 months ago, and 11 out of 12 hatched when I placed them under a broody australorp.

ive been on there for a while but ive never seen anyone sell in canada D:
