I never dealt with this before. My chickens seemed fine. I had a broody and she hatched 6 chicks. One died right away. The next day another one was dead. At first I thought they were weak and sickly and didn't worry too much. Then a few days later another, and another. I sent one away to be examined and it came back intestinal cocci. I treated the rest of the flock with Corrid. Now I have two broody hens again. I moved them to a unused part of my large coop. Once the chicks are born do I start them off on medicated feed to avoid them getting sick? I've never used it before. I cleaned the coops and treated the birds but I'm afraid of losing more babies. Help!

I'm sorry about your chicks.

If you keep the coop clean with fresh bedding and remove the mother's droppings regularly, as well as keeping waterers clean, then they should stay pretty safe.
You can use medicated feed, but you can also try some of the natural preventatives:

Hope this helps. Best of luck!
