Cochin or Orpington?

Please help! My Silverlaced Cochin Rooster bred w (1 of 2 breeds)Either a Buff Orpington or a White Cochin. 7 chicks hatched out. ALL have feathered legs & feet. I've gotten different answers from social online cochin breeders. So, I am confused. Someone said only the fully feathered legged chicks are cochin. Others said if they have feathered legs & feet, they're Cochins. Please explain in detail.

Most likely the crossbred birds will have less foot and leg feathering. All first generation birds will have some foot and leg feathering.
