I am starting a thred to really be helpful for those who are trying to replicate the cocopop color in serama, this is not an easy task for any of us!! This particular color has mutch varience like in horse color, some buckskins are very dark sutty and others are buttermilk/along with dunfactor etc. I am a visual learner so please post photos of birds in question and we can pick them apart to find out what they are composed of.. Now when asking for color disection it is also helpful to have test mated them and have photos of chicks that are produced, lets say a roo with two different hens, will give is a good idea of what the roo can produce and so fourth. You can see what is consistantly produced in the chicks from two different hens and the same father, I am sure that we will have mixed opinions as to what is said, but please lets keep this Fun and I really and looking for informative and helpful information. This color is getting VERY popular and we need at least 5 breeders over the period of 5 years to breed this color true to move the acceptance forward, This is noooo easy task. But lets give it a shot...

Cocoapop is considered to be a rooster colour, the hens can be exchanged (except for s+ and S) since they have a slight pencilling but for most it looks like peppering.
In the Serama Colours book I have photos of these colours. I'm on page 72 translating of 113 pages. I print it in 50 copies when ready and send them to Jerry, will take a few weeks. Guess early January ready.

Judging:
Judging colour and pattern faults is only used to distinguish similar birds in type. Colour and pattern are of less importance compared to the other breed characteristics.
Cage judging: bird can best be judged outside the cage on the judge's table because it shows better its type.
Edgar: in Europe judges and their writers drag a small table (incl. coffee) with them thru the rows of cages.
