First time chicken mom...I have 4 RIR 4 week old chicks(hopefully all hens according to TSC šŸ˜©) I'm starting to worry about my little one you can see hiding in the corner here. You can see her compared to another chick in the 3rd pic(she's on the cardboard). I'm wondering if she may be a bit younger than the rest or if she is sick. šŸ˜ She is much smaller than the others and always seems to just be off in that corner. I have watched her eat and drink, but i have noticed a lot of the time she waits until things settle down a bit so she can eat and drink by herself. Should I be concerned? I have heard about coccidiosis but she has not had any bloody stool.

Were they all the same size, feathering when you got them? Wondering if TSC had 2 shipments put together ... Blood in the poop isn't the only symptom of Coccidiosis, some reading for you ... coccidiosis in chickens. You could put them all on Corid, won't hurt if it isn't and may make you feel better. Are they on medicated starter?

However, as long as it's eating/drinking/pooping and active, just keep an eye on her. It's very possible she is smaller and lower in the pecking order, smarter to keep from the "rush".

Don't confuse cecal poop for diarrhea ... https://www.livestocking.net/chicken-poop-chart
