Hello everyone

I have 0 plans we just wing here at my 1st year farm . This was a old trailer that we had from my ATV days.

I want to believe I thought of everything when building this. I have a summer door a winter door Also the roosting bars can collapse for easy cleaning.

It’s perfect for what we need And I am not a carpenter at all

for my 28 chickens

Roosts are pretty much right over each other, so birds below will be pooped on.
They are also awfully high in such a narrow space for crash free dismounts.

Agree with @3KillerBs on ventilation and @aart on the roost height. Our highest roost is probably that high but the lower ones are farther out from the wall, so the girls can hop up and down one level at a time (this also solves the pooping on each other issue).

Are you planning to leave that panel up so they poop through the mesh overnight? Anything that minimizes poop in the coop is always exciting ;-) and I guess if it works out well you could also move it around and distribute the poop like with a chicken tractor? That could be really great. Just make sure it's all predator proof down there. Curious to hear your thoughts on the design after its seen some use!

Im leaving it closed untill cleaning or next spring .

My coop is also built on a trailer. It was up next to the house until May, then we moved it closer to the garden. One thing I wish we had been more careful about is the levelness of the ground. It is slightly unlevel, side to side, and no easy way to fix that until we move it back up to the house. It's not a problem, except for a hanging waterer. Live and learn and do better.

I put RV stilts on it to help with that .

Looks pretty good.

I'd suggest adding more ventilation at the very top. Some recommend 1 square foot of ventilation per chicken. My rule of thumb is that it shouldn't be any hotter inside than outside. :)

You can protect the vents from rain with louvers or a generous roof overhang.
Yeah i was in there today hanging with them and we need something to move the air a bit
