Coop Sunroom

After 8 years, we realized the girls needed a sunroom. Their regular coop was mostly in the shade, so we decided to add a little room. We always dig a trench and lay cement pavers and cap them off with larger cement pavers.

My husband is always willing to help me out with my crazy ideas.

And after dealing with the heat of summer it is finally finished.

And of course it needed a swing. I am hoping the girls learn to enjoy. I also added a mirror to the older portion of the coop.

Me too. They are usually free range in the yard, but now I know if I can’t get out there, they have options.

Good job! My main coop and run is mostly shaded so the second year I added a small "wing" to my run that allows some sun in there. One of the corrugated roof panels is UV protected clear pvc that allows that portion to act as their sunroom. It is really helpful in the winter when they can't free range but they need to get some sun. It stays drier in that area and they enjoy dust bathing in there.
