Do you think if I breed my CL rooster with my Ameracauna (blue egg) hen, and my Splash Marans (dark terracota brown egg) hen-- will the chicks be autosexing????

I bit the bullet and hatched out five eggs
Kept a male and female
Just lost the male to this damned sub zero winter

Pullet lays an egg bluer than her mother but still greenblue
now I have no roo

I'm so sorry for your loss. So sad. Was roo a baby chick still? I always here chickens don't mind the cold..so that scares me!! I hope you find a new rooster.
I was given 5 pure fertilized Cream Leg bar eggs last week by the lady who gave me my new CL rooster, and I gave them to a friend to hatch out for me (told her I'd like one hen out of whatever she gets). I think she will be able to candle them on Tuesday..so I am excited for some good results!!
