It could, but it depends on the color of the male. I think Cream Crested Legbar could count as a silver factor hen, but the male would have to be red.

I know these were posted awhile back, but I just wanted to say, these are beautiful birds! Yes, they do remind me of Swedish Flower Hens.

Thank you myfivegirls. However, sadly a marten visited the coop THIS very week. Found a crack between the wire and the roof and made a massacre...

Sadly, since they are mutts it is impossible to "repeat" these birds.

Sorry for your loss - I know that's one thing about when working with "mutts" or a breeding project - if something wipes them out, it's nearly
impossible to start over! Even though I know many of breeds that went into the Catskill Homesteaders, some of the most beautiful, unique ones have "mystery" parents!

Has anyone here ever hatched out a Brown Leghorn RIR cross? I'm currently incubating a few of these eggs and I'm curious as to what they will look like. They would also be good layers, right?
