Cuckoo marans chick boy or girl?

I think this is a cuckoo marans, not 100% sure but I did hatch one of their eggs and it's the only chick with a white dot. Does it look like a male or female white spot?

No, barring isn't a sex linked trait. No way to tell 100% right now, aside from vent sexing. Wait and see

As they begin to feather, a Maran cockerel is going to appear lighter in color, where a pullet will have more dark plumage. Usually easy to tell at around 6 weeks or sooner.
