If you plan on doing this more than once, getting your own mixer may be a good idea and with the help of Fertrell, you should be able to make a feed suitable for meat birds.
I may be wrong but I think they will even custom make a custom blend for your bird's nutritional balance.

It would be nice to have some bulk storage like a mini-bin that will hold 1.5 tons and they could deliver just filling the bin. Then there is no hassle with the bags or any possible added expense with that.
Have you called around to the various mills around Springfield? I know there are a lot of them. Most will do it and if not, they can direct you to a competitor that will.

Eventually I'd like to find some gravity wagons for this purpose, but we're planning to move later this year, so don't really want to that now. I am interested in a feed mixer, though I know next to nothing about what to even look for in that arena. Long term goal is to be doing 1000 a year
