Here I have reptiles I bread strickly for sale and for my own reptiles so I have to be extra careful in beeading my beetles I Dont want bad genes passed down to the worms

You CAN NOT! use any type of flour in with your beetles ever it can and will kill your population of and they will struggle only wheat bran and old fashion oatmeal

I started my mealworm colony about a month ago and have about a dozen beetles (that I can see). I noticed yesterday that one of them is split along the entire length of the back. Is this normal and why did it do that? I haven't read anything about them splitting like this.

Also Dont our ant kind of water in the habitat only water crystals you can but the soil moist or miracle Gro brand but it's more expensive for a small bag that's water beetles drink for water and you also have to keep the habitat clean and maintained
