Day 21 and no movement in egg at all

The mother hen got off her nest and i candled it and i see no movement at all in both eggs, this is the first I’ve candled since lockdown and the only reason i did is because its the end of day 21. They were fine and moving on day 18 so I’m worried. It’s her first batch of fertile eggs.

Would the mother hen stay on them if they had passed away?

Yes she would. 21 days is just an average. Chicks can hatch a few days before or after and that is perfectly normal. I would give them until day 25 and then recandle.

What did the candleling look like?

Everything looked fine just didn’t see either of the chicks moving, I’m not sure if that’s normal or not the air cell hasn’t been pipped either

How did this turn out for you? I'm having the same issue. I candled the eggs and no movement but I can still see veins in most of them.
