Hello everyone,
First time here. I have incubated eggs many times, but only once before with a broody. Another broody is currently at day 22 and I can only see one chick has hatched.
She has been a spectacular broody and I can't fault anything she has done. She is in her own little maternity ward and warm and dry with a small section for a run. Our weather has been up and down, hot then cold and torrential rain the past two days.
She's taking great care of the little chick and not leaving her eggs. For the life of me I cannot work out why we are failing to hatch. Chick number 1 hatched yesterday. I've done a very brief check and her eggs look like they haven't pipped at all but I don't want to move them to see. First chick unzipped perfectly.
Is all hope lost???
