DAY 5 of hatching

Hi guys!! I’m wondering if these eggs look okay for day 5 I know you’re supposed to wait till day 7 but I’m new to this and was eggsited! (Omg that was so stupid when i read It out loud )

Anyways, I’m using a Farm Innovator Pro series and my accurite digital read too low so i had To bump the incubator temp to 104 which has me checking on them and feeling extra anxious. One is a blue egg and the other is a darker brown and I’ve heard it’s hard to tell but y’all are the eggsperts...haha ok that was the last time i swear

The last two are pretty dark brown Rhode Island Red eggs so I’m having a hard time

The first 2 look great. See how you can see veins developing? Check the others again in a day or two.

you have two going with veins already. Being as your not that far in and brown eggs can be tricky i would wait until day 7-10 to double check those other eggs.

Do you have a second temp gauge in your incubator? I would certainly get one so you know what temp it is in near the eggs. 104 is pushing the heat range for eggs. Just a bit of food for thought.

I have a calibrated accurite digital hygrometer inside the the incubator. I only set the temp higher because even though the incubator was telling me it was 99.5-100 my inside temp said it was 95 so i upped It and now it reads 99-100.... also the humidity on the incubator is about 10% off what my accurite says

Yes!! It made me so happy to see that!!! But the other two are so dark that i was having a hard time! This is a picture of the egg in the light

Those eggs are always hard for me to tell until day 7-10 whats is going on . Even then i just barely have made out the veins. I don't know how people can do those eggs it was hard for me a candling junky to candle and not see much in it. But fun to watch hatch.

Okay i recandled one of the darker ones and saw this!! I’m a little more hopeful now

looks like the ghostping of some veins. Some eggs are just slow to start showing stuff.

WE HAVE MOVEMENT!! You can barely see the little chick in there!! But so happy i didnt give up just because i couldn’t see through the shell yet!
