Did I get this wrong?

I got ten hens from a friend. She said what the breeds were and she got a couple wrong. This one I had always assumed was a RIR but a friend came over the other day and asked me what breed she was I told them she was a RIR and they said “wow she is really dark”Did I get this wrong is she actually another breed?

Yes she looks like a Rhode Island Red with the color they are actually supposed to have! If you look up show quality RIR’s they’re very dark and not light!
