Differences between production RIR and Red Star?

Wondering if there is much difference between production strain Rhode Island Reds and Red Stars. Such as disposition, egg quality?
Are the eggs similar shade of brown?
Do they both have similar health issues due to high production of eggs?

Red stars are likely to be a bit more at risk about reproduction issues. They're also likely to be a bit smaller than the production Rirs.
