Due April 15th. Quilt Swap
It’s time to sign up for the next BYC quilt block swap! Woo Hoo!!
Let's do a disappearing nine patch. Colors are violets, light purples, med purples and greens with a light creamy yellow for the center block.

Block color placement is as follows: row one: purple green purple, row two: green, cream, green, row three: purple green purple
so the purple will be at the four corners and the greens will be in between the purples and the creamy yellow will be in the middle.
The square's are cut at 5" or you can use a charm pack precut.

The tutorial for this block can be found at the following link.

You will not cut the 9 patch, the block cutting will be done by you when you receive your blocks, just sew the individual squares together

We will need to make 24 blocks. Due date will be April 15th.
Let the quilting begin!
I am on BYC often, and I will be available to answer questions, and all who send blocks will receive blocks from whoever else takes part. I ask that when you ship all of your blocks, add a large SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope) for easy block shipment. ALL BLOCKS are sent to me (yes, even yours your keeping) so that I can be sure every pile of blocks sent out contains one from every single sender. It’s confusing to keep track of 12 - 15 different piles, and who doesn't need one. I want no mistakes, so make and send them all at once.
TO SIGN UP: Please put "SIGN ME UP" OR "YES, I'M IN" or something all by itself in a post on the forum. (Or, put it first, then elaborate) Please post you want to be involved HERE on THIS THREAD.
Thanks
Kat

Mary has spent her day cutting 5 inch squares for the swap! We've pooled fabrics from our stashs , I've been ironin and counting and she's done the cutting with her huge ruler! It was our groups meeting today, The Sitting Ducks.

My first quilt block swap was on BYC in 2011/2012. When I was going through my fabric, I found the blocks for that swap. I still need to do more to get this quilt done, but I really love how so many fabrics and colors can come together. Scraps lights and darks.

Hello Ladies, I went on a Shop Hop here in eastern North Carolina, had a great time showing my niece the wonderful world of quilting. LOL I found the yellow I was looking for, it is a batik. I will be cutting and sewing after I get though posting this, can't wait, I think it will be a beautiful quilt. Happy quilting ladies!

Well I guess I'm just impatient. I went to an animal swap and ended up buying some hatching eggs and I am waiting on them to hurry up and stop baking 2 weeks to go!!!!! I can't wait

BCM's they will be mixed, Easter eggers, I put in 3 of my RIR's I think that is all, I can't wait for them to hatch, I sing to them a very short chicken song, and then when they hatch and you sing to them they really perk up like I know that song, and then they come when they hear my voice so I don't have to chase them all over the yard it is so cute, and then they continue to come when they are big. My DH calls me the chicken wisperer. I only sing to them when I'm turning them

Our Marans are mixed too.

Chicken whisperer? Well I'll have to share that story with DH and son. We have an automated turner so I am not sure how that would work. DS 15 did hatch about 10 geese at one time and he was their dad. Very cute but all those geese plus the parents all in the back yard was too much. Also some visitors got chased as they were scared and the birds could feel it.
