I have a hen whose wing seems to be dislocated. She’s not in pain but I don’t know what to do. She’s in her own cage in the basement for r & r but I guess my question is can we pop it back into place? I hate to have to cull her when she’s otherwise perfectly healthy. She is pretty much walking on her wing because it just hangs there. I was going to make a sling for her today but I don’t think she can fly. Any advice welcome. Thanks 🙏🏻

There’s a photo of her standing on her wing. It’s her right wing.

Did you see her injure herself? Since it is drooping, I would look carefully at the skin for any wounds or bone sticking out. She might just have a drooping wing, or it could be broken. If she is tripping over it, you may want to just wrap it to her body loosely or as tight as needed. A stretchy length of material, a scarf, 3 inch vet wrap or cohesive bandage, or some Kerlix gauze roll would work. Wrap it around her body snug with wrap going under the good wing and secure it.
