I ordered eggs from the east coast (I live on the west coast) set them under my broody and one hatched day 22, another 2 days later then the last one 3 days later.
One is a cuckoo maran, the other is a bcm and the third I don't know what kind of maran it is very light yellow with pale silvery color on its back. Anybody have any ideas? One chick did die in the shell, I heard it chirping and scratching but it never did pip. So why did they hatch so far apart when they were set the same day? Good thing I don't have an incubator or else I would be hatching like crazy! I just take advantage when one of my girls goes broody.
