Do quail put themselves in to bed at night?

I have recently started raising chickens and really appreciate how helpful they are by putting themselves into the coop at night. All I need to do is count them all to be sure they are all there and then lock up the doors. So far we have lost no chickens to predators at night as they are safely put away in the coop.

A friend gave me a batch of quail a couple weeks ago. We have about 23 total. So far I have raised them altogether in a dog kennel and I think they are ready for a permanent run and coop. I am trying to design one myself and wonder if they will also put themselves away in the coop at night. If so, I will design our quail coop/run accordingly. If not, I will need to make other plans.

Thank you for your help to a total poultry newbie!

No, they'll sit in one spot and get themselves soaked, that's why it's best to have a fully-covered pen for the little simpletons
