Do you feed yellow/green split peas?

Trying to formulate a homemade chicken feed and would like to know what color chickens prefer. I have been reading that the peas have slightly different tastes. If you feed your chickens split peas, please share which ones they like and if you soak, cook, ferment or sprout them over several days. I know that some people feed whole field peas to animals as a high protein source but I don't think chickens are in that category, and would prefer a split pea.

On a side note, I see there are commercial organic feeds that are using them raw, but read somewhere that it wasn't a good idea to feed raw because of the anti nutrients in grains, seeds, legumes etc. Any thoughts on that?

peas, certainly, are best fermented together with the rest of the feed.
