also, is there a prefered wood to build a coop out of? and for 3 hens how many nesting boxes should i put?

I think Douglas fir, hemlock, or pine are great choices!! I have 10 chickens and have 3 nesting boxes and it is more than enough. So I think one or two is great!

hi again! I started a thread but i figured it would be easier if i just asked u here too. So, i know your supposed to turn down the tempature in the brooder 5 degrees every day, and i know you can use a thermometer, but how can you later the tempature?
